Results of salvation

Eternal life includes more than you might realize. Not only does God bless those who trust in Jesus with never-ending joys in His presence for all eternity, He also fills their earthly lives with many wonderful blessings:

  • We have peace with God and will never be condemned for our sins (Romans 5:1; 8:1)
  • We have this precious promise that nothing can separate us from God’s love. (Romans 8:38-39)
  • God gives us His Spirit to live in us, providing us the ability to live a life that is pleasing to Him. (Acts 2:38; Galatians 5:16)
  • He promises to be with them through every difficulty of life, never leaving them and never letting them go (Romans 8:28; John 10:27-28)

what's next?

Now that you have placed your trust in Jesus Christ here are some things you must do to maintain and grow in your relationship with Him:

  • Find a church where you are surrounded by other believers to grow in your faith with Jesus Christ (Acts 2:46-47)
  • Pursue water baptism (Acts 2:41)
  • Read the Bible daily (Psalm 119:9-11)
  • Pray and converse with the Lord (Matthew 6:6)
  • Praise and thank the Lord for all He has done (Psalm 100:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

WHAT's YOUR EXCUSE?

I would accept Christ, but I know I cannot live a Christian life.

  • WHEN YOU ACCEPT CHRIST, YOU ARE A NEW CREATION. (2 Cor. 5:17)

I am afraid of failure.

  • HE WILL KEEP YOU FROM FAILING. (Jude 1:24)

Afraid of the power of sin.

  • YOU ARE OF GOD, LITTLE CHILDREN, AND HAVE OVERCOME THEM, BECAUSE HE WHO IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE WHO IS IN THE WORLD. (1 John 4:4)

Christian life is too hard.

  • FOR MY YOKE IS EASY AND MY BURDEN LIGHT. (Matthew 11:30)

Fear of persecution.

  • IN THE MIDST OF PERSECUTION, YOU WILL HAVE INNER JOY AND PEACE. (Romans 8:18)

I have to give up too much stuff.

  • THE WHOLE WORLD WOULD PROFIT NOTHING IF HE SHOULD LOSE HIS SOUL. (Mark 8:35-37)

I will lose friends.

  • JESUS CALLS THOSE WHO ARE MOCKED AND PERSECUTED BECAUSE OF HIS NAME BLESSED  (Matthew 5:11-12, Matthew 10:22)

I am a good person.

  • MAN DOES NOT ENTER HEAVEN BY WHAT HE DOES. (Titus 3:4-7, Romans 5:12-21)
